Of course, in the paid version of Google meet, users can get these features by default but in the free version of Google meet, users get limited features, and especially these features are missing completely.

Before starting the tutorial, let me clear one thing that this method is workable only on a computer and in the Google Chrome browser. With the help of a third-party extension in the chrome browser, we can easily take attendance in Google meet.

Step by Step Guidance for Google meet attendance

  1. First of all, open the chrome browser on your laptop or computer.
  2. Then, search chrome web store.
  3. Then, click and open the chrome web store.
  4. Then, search Google meet attendance collector.
  5. Then, add the extension to your chrome browser.
  6. Then, pin the extension to your home page.
  7. Now start the Google meet in the chrome and start the meeting.
  8. Now click on pinned extension "Google meet attendance collector"
  9. You will find three options, change the alias, single-time attendance, and time-wise attendance.
  10. You can change the attendee's alias if you want.
  11. if you want to take single-time attendance, click on the recan+download button, one .csv file will be downloaded to your pc.
  12. if you want time-wise attendance, then click on start monitoring, then you can see the attendance on the web as well as you can download the excel sheet on your computer.
